14th “Dębica for Dębica” Festivities at the New Venue
A concert of Perfect band and charity campaign – will be major events of the Dębica for Dębica Festivities in 2010 at the new venue <br /> <br /> Traditionally at the last weekend of summer holidays, on Saturday, 28 August 2010, Tire Company Dębica S.A. and Goodyear Dunlop Tires Polska welcome to 14th Dębica for Dębica Festivities. The Festivities will be held at a new venue, at a track and field at School Complex No. 1 at 4 Paderewskiego Street.<br />
Traditionally at the last weekend of summer holidays, on Saturday, 28 August 2010, Tire Company Dębica S.A. and Goodyear Dunlop Tires Polska welcome to 14th Dębica for Dębica Festivities. The Festivities will be held at a new venue, at a track and field at School Complex No. 1 at 4 Paderewskiego Street.
This year a special music attraction was prepared. At Dębica a legendary Polish rock band called Perfect. The fans of the band will be also able to listen to such smashing, already classical hits as “Autobiography”, “Don’t cry Eve”, "We want to be ourselves” or “The Unbeaten”. During the Festivities the performance will be also given by Psio Crew band, that combines electronic music in a spectacular manner with … traditional highlanders’ tunes.
The Festivities will be also abundant with non-music attractions. A show for children will be staged by “Uncle Hippo and Friends”. Next to the stage there will be also a funfair, a myriad of competitions and other types entertainment for the youngest and older visitors. Similarly to previous years, next to the stage there will be a special sector for the disabled, and in evening hours the skyline will be illuminated by fireworks show. This year the Festivities venue will be new – for the first time the stage will be located at the School Complex No.1 in Paderewskiego Street, since on the previous site new pitch is under construction.
Like every year the Dębica for Dębica Festivities will combine good fun with the aid for the needy. This time jointly with five Dębica-based social organizations an opinion poll will be organized. The city population will be able to cast their votes in favor of specific goals proposed by each organization. For the execution of goals a total sum of PLN 50 thousand will be appropriated and distributed proportionally depending on the number of votes gained. The social goal that the Dębica city population will find the most appealing and will cast the highest number of votes, will be supported financially with PLN 15 thousand, the runner-up social goal will be supported with PLN 12 thousand, and the third most popular social goal will receive PLN 9 thousand, and consecutive two organizations will receive PLN 7 thousand each. The votes will be counted starting from 5 August using forms published in the Nowiny daily and available on the Web site www.debica.org.pl of Festivities media patrons.
• The goal of the “Hanka” Children’s Home is to buy additional furnishings and to repair the rooms of children staying there to create for them environment conducive to their development and learning;
• The “I CAN” Integrated Group of the Disabled Youth raises funds for the rehabilitation and language camp;
• “Joy” Association of Parents and Friends of the Disabled intends to finance the adaptation of the car transporting the disabled using wheelchairs for classes;
• The goal of the “Nazareth” Day-Care Room at St. Jadwiga parish is to replace the current personal computers with genuine hardware;
• Meanwhile the Community Day-Care room at the Słoneczne Housing Estate intends to use the raised funds to equip kitchenette and to purchase foodstuffs for cooking classes for children.
