15th Dębica for Dębica Festivities Ends

“Joy” Association winner of the charity event

Myslovitz and Vavamuffin bands as well as the safety center with accident simulation were the main attractions of the 15th Dębica for Dębica Festivities organized by Dębica S.A. and Goodyear Dunlop Tires Polska. Yet again, the Festivities were a great success with thousands of visitors from Dębica and the Subcarpathian region. The visitors gathered on the market square and at the city stadium not only had great time, but also had an opportunity to learn about safety and watch car accident simulations. The program also included summary of the charity campaign organized by Dębica S.A. and Goodyear, under which the donations were given to four social organizations in Dębica.

Many guests arrived at the Dębica market square as early as 10 a.m. to participate in the morning attractions. Everyone interested was able to experience themselves in special trainers – car overturn, collision, and to test how alcohol and weather conditions affect the response time of the driver. A specially prepared mini road traffic training ground was also very popular. It was equipped with real traffic lights, signs and crossroads, where young cyclists could show off their skills under professional supervision of policemen from the Dębica police department. There were also educational contests organized to check knowledge on traffic safety. The atmosphere was warmed up by the host, always dependable Marek Rusinek, well known to the Dębica community.

Then, at 6 pm there was a concert organized at the Dębica stadium. First band, Vavamuffin, proved yet again to be the reggae music leader in Poland. Their great hits made everybody dance, not only the young people. Then there was time for Myslovitz. Great atmosphere, professionalism and unforgettable songs – these are the words to describe the show given by the band on that night. Myslovitz played all the best known hits as well as songs from their new album, which was greatly appreciated by the audience. The evening ended with a great display of fireworks.

“We want every Dębica for Dębica Festivities to be exceptional and really entertaining for our guests. In particular, we wanted to combine great fun with safety education and promotion. I am glad that our idea met with such great response, as proven by the attendance. We would like to invite everybody to the next fair – said Marta Konopacka, Communication Director of Dębica S.A.

Traditionally the Dębica for Dębica Festivities has drawn attention to helping the needy. Yet again, right at the stage, we organized a special section for the disabled so that they could freely enjoy the concert.

One of the key points of the Festivities was the summary of the charity campaign given by Stanisław Cieszkowski, member of Dębica S.A. Management Board together with the representatives of the social organizations. Then the contestant ranking was announced. Each of the participating institutions was given a task to design a few posters promoting traffic safety. A special commission, consisting of representatives of Dębica S.A. (President of the Management Board, Jacek Pryczek, Communication Director, Marta Konopacka), Gallery of the Local Community Center (Director, Ryszard Kucab) and Dębica Police Department (Chief, Andrzej Świder) chose four best posters, i.e. one sent by each organization.
