Youth from Dębica Learns How to Save Human Life Effectively

Children from “Hanka” Children’s Home Practiced Life Saving Action on Manikins Donated by Tire Company Dębica S.A.

Dębica, 4 February 2010 - The principles of resuscitation and correct conduct in situations when life is at risk were discussed during unusual classes held at Dębica-based “Hanka” Children’s Home. Children from the Children’s Home practiced life-saving skills using modern Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) manikins that were donated by Tire Company Dębica S.A. in 2008.

- Enthusiasm and commitment of the adolescents exceeded my expectations – said Barbara Buszek, a civil defense teacher at the Vocational School Complex No. 1 at Dębica who organized and carried out training at the Children’s Home. - First aid teaching aids that we have thanks to generosity of Tire Company Dębica enables us to run classes in an extremely attractive manner. Thanks to this training children will be able to save human life one day! – emphasized B. Buszek.

Children from ”Hanka” Children’s Home were learning resuscitation principles using two manikins: one has dimensions of an adult man, the other one of an infant. The manikins are equipped with electronic sensors and they show immediately if the resuscitation action was successful. This encourages children to become more active and take even bigger care while performing exercises.
