Dębica, 20th June 2008 – Tire Company Dębica S.A. came first in the prestigious ranking of “The Top 100 Major Businesses in the Subcarpathian Region” in 2007 and was honored with a “Złota Setka [Golden One Hundred]” statuette. The Company also won in the category of exports sales, being the largest exporter in the province.

The “Złota Setka” is the ranking of the best performing businesses in the Subcarpathian Region, worked out each year by a team of scientists from the Rzeszów School of Business in conjunction with the “Nowiny” daily. The ranking of the leading Subcarpathian businesses presents the current picture of the condition of the economy in the region, indicating which companies are the growth engines.

“Another year at the top of the ranking of the major businesses in the Subcarpathian Province is evidence that the development strategy that we have adopted is correct and brings about the expected results. The position of a regional leader is a major distinction for us, but at the same time a commitment to further enhance our efforts to meet the expectations of our customers and investors,” said Jeffrey Smith, the Production Director, and member of the Management Board of Tire Company Dębica S.A. “We are especially satisfied with the fact that Tire Company Dębica S.A. has, for a couple of years now, regularly been in the top positions in the Subcarpathian Voivodship. I do believe that, thanks to the investment projects that will be launched next year, Tire Company Dębica S.A. will once again take one of the top positions in the ranking.”

Almost PLN 300 million has been invested in the development of the production of modern high- and ultra-high performance tires and this will make Tire Company Dębica S.A. the largest global supplier of tires made for Goodyear in 2011. There are also plans to enhance truck tire production. The company’s expansion and modernization will be accelerated by an operational permit granted in February this year for the launching of business activities in the Mielec Euro-Park Special Economic Zone.

Being the largest company in the Subcarpathian Voivodship, Tire Company Dębica S.A. not only takes care for its own development, but is also constantly involved with social activities. “For many years now, we have been supporting the most needy. The top position amongst Subcarpathian firms is not only a sign of prestige, but also a sign of our responsibility for our operational environment,” said Marta Konopacka, Communications Director of Tire Company Dębica S.A. For years now, the Company has provided assistance to institutions and organizations providing services to the disabled and the disadvantaged. Recently, it has financed the purchase of Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) manikins for first-aid training purposes. This will enable more than one thousand students from Dębica schools to professionally learn how to help the victims of accidents.

Last year, Tire Company Dębica S.A. was in first in “The Ranking of the 100 Top Businesses in the Subcarpathian Province” and was honored with a “Złota Setka” statuette. The Company also took first position in the export sales category.
