Tire Company Dębica S.A. was granted an award and title “Leader of Polish Transformation” in the poll organized by Forbes economic monthly. T.C. Dębica is the sole company in the tire industry distinguished by the Award Committee.
Dębica tire maker was awarded in the category “Transport, forwarding, logistics, automotive industry and related”. The award winners were selected in a two-stage process. From the group of companies who generated PLN 200 million of revenues and in the last 5 years did not record any losses the companies were selected with the highest average annual profit. The best of them were assessed from the perspective of successes in domestic market, foreign expansion and innovativeness.
A decision about granting distinctions was taken by the Award Committee whose members included, among others, an outstanding lawyer Professor Michał Kulesza, former CEO of the Warsaw Stock Exchange Wiesław Rozłucki, head of the consulting firm McKinsey & Company Jacek Poświata and editor-in-chief of the “Forbes” monthly - Kazimierz Krupa. To qualify for the title “Leader of Polish Transformation” the competing companies had to be indicated by minimum five members of the Award Committee.
„The title ‘Leader of Polish Transformation’ is a confirmation for us that changes and innovations that have been continuously implemented in our company in the last couple of years bring tangible results and are noticed and highly assessed by experts” – said Jacek Pryczek, President of the Management Board of Tire Company Dębica S.A. „The distinction of the Forbes magazine has special overtones for the company with a 70-year-long tradition that in the times of enormous changes and mounting competition in the marketplace is able – thanks to both technological innovativeness and personnel opened to changes – to be the leader in the Polish tire industry” – added Jacek Pryczek.
TC Dębica S.A. wins awards in rankings and polls regularly. In June this year it won ,,Ranking of Top 100 Businesses in the Subcarpathian Region” in the export sales category. The successes of the company in foreign markets was also appreciated by the Subcarpathian Business Club that granted Economic Award. Tire Company Dębica S.A. was also classified in the top thirty Polish exporters in this year’s ranking of the “Rzeczpospolita” daily, also in the ranking of 400 top manufacturing companies in Poland by „Home & Market”, whereas the readers of the “Reader’s Digest” weekly once again decided that Dębica tires were the Product of the Year.
