In the annual ranking “500 Top Polish Businesses” prepared by the “Rzeczpospolita” daily Tire Company Dębica S.A. was ranked amongst forty top Polish exporters in 2010. The high ranking of the Subcarpathian tire maker reflects positive trend in the overall chemical industry.
On “500 Top Polish Businesses” List of the Rzeczpospolita daily the producers of chemicals are the most numerous group – as many as 60 chemical companies were ranked. Their average revenue growth exceeded 11 per cent in 2010, which is the best evidence that the Polish chemical sector has already overcome crisis. Against the industry average last year’s revenue growth of Tire Company Dębica S.A. by 26 per cent ranks the Subcarpathian Company amongst the industry leaders.
T.C Dębica has been unquestionable export leader in the Subcarpathian region for many years now. The strengthening position of the Company on a nation-wide basis is evidenced by the findings of the “500 Top Polish Businesses” List of the “Rzeczpospolita” daily. Tire Company Dębica S.A. was ranked on 37th place in terms of exports share in total sales (71.9 per cent), however, if one considers the level of revenues of T.C. Dębica, then it is ranked amongst the top 20 Polish exporters.
The Company enjoys good financial standing thanks to, among others, effective cost optimization. This is one of major strategic challenges pinpointed by the CEOs of the top Polish companies who participated in the The CEO Challenge survey led by Professor Krzysztof Obłój, Warsaw University. However, unlike many other plants in the chemical sector, Tire Company Dębica S.A. knew how to make savings, without FTE downsizing.
”We enjoy good performance and high position in the ranking of the chemical sector players due to proper strategy that we were applying also when we were affected by the global crisis” – says Jacek Pryczek, President of the Management Board of Tire Company Dębica S.A. “The toughest job is to rebuild human capital at the company, and therefore when others were laying off their workers we took every possible measure to avoid employment downsizing. Consequently when demand for tires started to swell rapidly, our Company was ready to fulfill the orders from the Polish market and execute the orders of our partners from the Goodyear Group” – adds J. Pryczek.
