Tire Company Debica S.A. came on third place in the category of companies from automotive sector in the elite “List of Top 100 Most Valuable Businesses” of American “Newsweek” weekly and international consulting firm A.T. Kearney.

Unlike other independent rankings that classify businesses mainly on the grounds of their market value, awarding market giants, the List drawn up by the “Newsweek” weekly focuses on the most dynamic companies. Distinction was given especially to those companies that took advantage of the times of crisis and economic slowdown in most industries and used as a springboard to accelerate their expansion and to strengthen their market positions, which was reflected clearly in their growing shareholders’ values assessed on the basis of product or service sales revenues.

“Our Company has a very good standing, despite swelling costs of raw materials and deteriorating general economic ratios in key foreign markets where we export above 80 per cent of our output. In 2011 our Company posted the highest ever financial performance. Sales revenues totaled almost PLN 2.5 billion, up by almost 30 per cent compared to 2010. ”Such good performance was achieved thanks to pursuing a consistent strategy, but also thanks to investment projects focused on the increasing of output of High Performance and Ultra High Performance tires designed for passenger cars travelling at high speeds – said Jacek Pryczek, President of the Management Board of Tire Company Debica S.A.

The List of the “Newsweek” weekly and A.T Kearney consulting firms comprises those companies listed on the Warsaw Stock Exchange that build at the highest rate their shareholders’ value understood as a function of revenues growth rate and stock exchange capitalization. First and foremost  Compound Annual Growth Rate (CAGR) was considered, since it is a major measure of how the company is able to convert ideas and innovations into market reality. It was decided that revenues will be more reliable than change of capitalization, which happens to be a result of change of liquidity in stock trade or general sentiment of investors.
