ÔÇťGood SoundsÔÇŁ Young Band Competition Has Started!
The first phase of “Good Sounds” young band competition has started. It is designed for the music formations that are not known yet to wider audience. The project accompanies this year’s edition of the GOODFEST Music Festival organised by Tire Company Debica S.A. and Goodyear Dunlop Tires Polska. Three bands that will win the highest recognition among internet users will give performances during the Festival already on 20 June this year.
The forth edition the GOODFEST Music Festival will host excellent Polish artists. This year the Festival opens up to new music conventions and styles. Consequently various music kinds will be performed on the stage including but not limited to rock, hip-hop, pop and electro. The Project has invariably supported excellent domestic performers including those who are not known to wider audience. During this year’s edition, specially for talented young artists “Good Sounds” competition was created.
The project was divided into three phases. Phase one started on 9 May and will last until 29 May. During this phase the bands interested in participation in the competition are welcome to e-mail their applications at the following address: dobredzwieki@goodfestdebica.pl. Each application must have contain contact data of the band representative, brief band description and a link to a music sample. From a long list of applicants, six music formations will be picked up that will be qualified to consecutive phase, which will involve voting on social media portal Facebook. From 30 May to 12 June internet users will be able to cast their votes on their favourite bands using a dedicated application. Three music formations that have won the highest recognition, will be invited to participate in third phase – this year’s edition of GOODFEST Music Festival. At stage they will fight for victory, which will be decided by the gathered audience. The approval of the audience will be measured with a decibel meter.
The “Good Sounds” young band competition is an excellent opportunity for talented artists to show their music and works to wider audience. The works of performers invited to participate in the Phase Two will be broadcast by the Rzeszów Polish Radio station. Additionally three bands that have won the highest recognition of the internet users will have a chance to give performance at the stage of GOODFEST Music Festival on 20 June this year at Debica, and the winning band will be awarded a financial prize of PLN 3 000. In addition to prize winners performances will be also given by widely recognised musicians such as HEY, Molesta Ewenement, Dawid Kwiatkowski, xxanaxx, Fair Weather Friends as well as Eskaubei & Tomasz Nowak Quartet.
“The Goodfest Music Festival has supported excellent Polish artists from the very beginning of its existence. This year we also decided to help novice talented artists who have not had a chance yet to perform on big stage.
