Krzysztof Penderecki is a Guest of the Debica GOODFEST Music Festival
Already in a bit more than a week the most ambitious musical event of the year will begin in the Subcarpathian Region.
Already eight (8) days from now, on the last day of August, at Debica the Second Edition of Debica GOODFEST Festival, an ambitious music project will be held. It will be organized by Tire Company Debica S.A. and Goodyear Dunlop Tires Polska.
The special guest of the Festival will be Krzysztof Penderecki, a composer, a conductor and teacher, and at the same time a native Debica inhabitant, strongly attached to the city. The Festival has a unique formula, because it is gratuitous, which means everybody who appreciates culture and wants to have some fun may attend it.

This year the organizers jointly with Filip Berkowicz, the Artistic Director of Debica GOODFEST Festival – the head of such renowned festivals as Sacrum Profanum, Misteria Paschalia, Actus Humanus or the penderecki//greenwood project, invited such artists as Skalpel, Pianohooligan, Fisz Emade Tworzywo, Mitch & Mitch, Marcin Masecki, Julia Marcell, Très.b i Grabek to participate in the Festival that will be held in the Municipal Stadium at the city of Debica. In addition to their performances the artists will also prepare a musical accent related to the celebration of 80th birthday anniversary of Krzysztof Penderecki.
“The Debica GOODFEST Festival is an event for the connoisseurs of the Polish modern music performances, for the persons who do not limit themselves to listening only to the mass music. Our event already today occupies a significant position on the musical map of Poland, but it is bound to gain even more significance” – said Jacek Pryczek, the President of the Management Board of Tire Company Debica S.A. and Goodyear Dunlop Tires Polska.
An additional attraction of the Festival will be GOODFEST PHOTO contest for the best festival photo shot with a mobile phone. The best photographers will be granted attractive awards. More information about photo contest is available on the website at the following address: www.goodfest.pl
“We would like to encourage everybody to participate in the photo contest. Firstly, the best photographers will win attractive awards and secondly photo shooting at such Festival gives a lot of fun. Mementoes will remain for the whole life” – said Marta Konopacka, the Communication Director at Tire Company Debica S.A.
All concerts held during the Festival will have unique visual setting. The multimedia space will be arranged by the brilliant artists from Temporary Space Design who, among others, executed projects for such renowned events as Sacrum Profanum, European Congress of Culture, The Barbican Center in London or The Lincoln Center in New York. Their original audiovisual projects can be admired also during concerts of such music stars as Jamiroquai or Wyclef Jean.
This year the Debica GOODFEST Festival will start at 6:00 p.m., and will come to an end after midnight. All Festival guest will be able to enjoy foods and drinks served in the catering zone. Additionally the Debica Town Council, the partner of GOODFEST Festival, acting jointly with Miejska Komunikacja Samochodowa Sp. z o.o., an urban transport operator, will take care for the comfort of Festival guests – special night owl buses will be run by the local urban transport operator.
