Dębica Top Exporter in the Subcarpathian Region

Dębica, 30 June 2009 – Tire Company Dębica S.A. once again won the title of the leader of ”List of Top 100 Businesses in the Subcarparthian Region” in the export sales category. The Dębica plant came also on the third place in the general category, thus confirming its strong position amongst the businesses in the region.

In as many as in five categories the tire maker from Dębica was classified in top ten companies of ”Gold 100 Businesses” in the Subcarpathian Region. In addition to the first place on the list of top exporters, the came also on the second place in the stock exchange capitalization category, fifth place in the net profit category, and eighth place in the exports share in company revenues category. Additionally Tire Company Dębica S.A. was ranked as the third largest employer in the province.

The Top 100 Business in the Subcarpathian Region is prepared each year by the Rzeszów Higher School of Business Management jointly with the ”Nowiny” daily. The list comprises ”Golden One Hundred” businesses in the Subcarpathian region and a list of top ten businesses in seven specialist categories. The ranking that has been published since 2000 aims at the promotion of the best and most dynamic businesses in the Subcarpathian region.

”We were not surprised that Tire Company Dębica S.A. another year in a row turned out to be the top exporter in the Subcarpathian Region, though in the times of global crisis it is not easy to compete in foreign markets – said Stanisław Cieszkowski, Production Director of Tire Company Dębica S.A. – ”Our major strength is high quality of products that thanks to not only modern machinery and equipment, but primarily owing to the reliability and commitment of our employees. We are happy that tires we make have been appreciated for so many years now by the Polish and foreign drivers” – added Cieszkowski.

In the year of 70th anniversary of operations of Tire Company Dębica S.A. the received awards and high positions in prestigious rankings. In this year‘s list of 500 Top Businesses in Poland prepared by the ”Polityka” weekly the Dębica plant took the highest place of all in the Polish tire industry. The sales revenues totaling PLN 1 467 212 thousand gave it 147th place. The Company were also ranked in top thirty Polish exporters in the ranking of the ”Rzeczpospolita” daily. This year the Tire Company Dębica S.A. was also ranked amongst Prize Winners of the Business Prize of the Subcarpathian Business Club, while Dębica tires were recognized the Product of the Year 2008 by the readers of the ”Readers‘ Digest” weekly.

Being the largest employer in the county Tire Company Dębica S.A. continues to be good, socially responsible corporate citizen, taking care for the local and regional communities. For years now the Company has supported the disabled in the Subcarpathian region, funded scholarships for the talented youth and contributed to local cultural life. In the last five years the Company‘s charity spending exceeded PLN 3 million.
