Dębica, 26 March 2009 - Tire Company Dębica S.A. is a major sponsor of 32nd National Contest of Electric and Electronic Knowledge that is held this year, among others, at the E. Kwiatkowski School Complex No. 2 in Dębica. The Contest aims at: developing amongst the students of secondary technical colleges interest in electrical and electronic knowledge, raising the level of technical culture, mutual exchange of knowledge and experience.

Today and tomorrow the students of secondary technical colleges from all over Poland will compete in three 3 subject areas: electrical engineering, electronics and mechatronics. The award for the Contest finalists will be admittance to the first year of studies at technical universities without formal recruitment process and exemption from a written examination confirming professional qualifications. For the award winners in each category who have scored the highest number of points, Tire Company Dębica S.A. funded laptops. - Tire Company Dębica S.A. has systematically been supporting young talents for many years now including in particular those persons who actively acquire knowledge and want to be successful in the future said Teresa Filipek-Przybyłowicz, Head of Payroll, Benefit, and HR Development Department at Tire Company Dębica S.A. - We support the participants of the National Contest the more that it is held at school, which was attended by many employees of our Company to learn and improve their professional skills. Tire Company Dębica S.A. helps to educate young electronic engineers and electricians, by extending its patronage over the grades with such profiles in the school year 2009/2010 at the E. Kwiatkowski School Complex No. 2 in Dębica. The students of such grades will be able to undergo traineeship under the guidance of T.C. Dębica S.A. employees, and the most diligent students can count on scholarships funded by the Company. In addition to the traineeship and scholarship program, Tire Company Dębica S.A. purchased modern equipment for laboratories at School Complex No.2, necessary to carry out practical examinations.

The history of E. Kwiatkowski School Complex No. 2 in Dębica is connected directly with the development and expansion of Tire Company Dębica S.A. The School was established in 1950 to educate future employees to meet the human resources needs of then Rubber Industry Plant in Dębica. For years TC Dębica S.A. has been involved in supporting the activities of social organizations, especially in Dębica and in the Subcarpathian region (including but not limited to Special School Complex in Dębica, "Hanka" Children`s Home, Home Hospice in Dębica, "Rays of Hope" Social and Educational Facility, "I CAN" Association for Brining Aid to the Disabled with Cerebral Palsy -Integration Group for the Disabled Youth, "Nazareth" Day-Care Room, Subcarpathian branch of the Polish Association of the Blind or City Social Welfare Center in Dębica) and rescue services (fire brigade, police, ambulance service). Through both cash and non-cash donations the Company earmarked above PLN 3 million for social purposes in the last 5 years.
