Debica GOODFEST

Festival at Debica - a new place on the map of prestigious music and cultural events in Poland&nbsp; <br /> <br /> Already on September 1, 2012&nbsp; the population of Debica, the Subcarpathian region and overall Poland, will be able to participate in a new cultural event organized at Debica, which is called Debica GOODFEST Music Festival. Meeting the expectations of local community Tire Company Debica S.A. and Goodyear Dunlop Tires Polska decided to transform the Debica for Debica Festivities, existing under the previous formula, into a national music festival attended by the stars of highest caliber i.e. by young Polish artists.

Already on September 1, 2012  the population of Debica, the Subcarpathian region and overall Poland, will be able to participate in a new cultural event organized at Debica, which is called Debica GOODFEST Music Festival. Meeting the expectations of local community Tire Company Debica S.A. and Goodyear Dunlop Tires Polska decided to transform the Debica for Debica Festivities, existing under the previous formula, into a national music festival attended by the stars of highest caliber i.e. by young Polish artists. The partners of Debica GOODFEST Music Festival include: Subcarpathian Provincial Government, Debica City Authorities, National Center of Culture and National Audiovisual Institute. The Artistic Director of Debica GOODFEST Music Festival is Filip Berkowicz, head of renowned festivals such as Sacrum Profanum, Misteria Paschalia, Actus Humanus or Penderecki // Greenwood Project. Media patronage was extended, inter alia, by Second Program of Polish Public Television (TVP2) and Third Program of Polish Radio (PRIII).




„We are keen on widening cultural offering for Debica population, so that they could participate in major events without leaving their city. Therefore listening attentively to their needs we decided to organize a unique Debica GOODFEST Music Festival, which will occupy a prominent place on the cultural map of not only Subcarpathian region, but of the overall Poland. I am convinced that thanks to co-operation with one of the most renowned organizers of similar events, GOODFEST will become a renowned music festival at the highest level, and the Debica city dwellers will take pride in being hosts of the Festival” – said Jacek Pryczek, President of Management Board of Tire Company Debica S.A. and Goodyear Dunlop Tires Polska.



According to the organizers of Debica GOODFEST Music Festival, on September 1, 2012 Debica will become the focal point of ambitious pop with electronic music, a folk with alternative music. The Debica GOODFEST Music Festival will be attended by such stars as the first lady of the Polish dancehall – Marika and DJ Envee, one of the best known and appreciated Polish producers, a co-founder of legendary DJ team called “Innocent Wizards”. The performance will be also given by famous R.U.T.A band and also by Igor Boxx, a co-founder of legendary, Wroclaw-based duo called Scalpel and the author of solo project titled “Breslau”. A noteworthy is L.U.C, in fact Łukasz Rostowski, a prize winner of the “Polityka” weekly award, a unique artist who since the origin of his artistic career has combined music with image and word in unconventional manner. During the Debica GOODFEST Music Festival the enthusiasts for long and complicated vocal parts based on freestyle will enjoy an opportunity to attend a performance of Pablopavo, one of the first vocalists singing ragamuffin in Polish. Equally interesting will be the performance of extremely talented, young musician called Piano Hooligan who will perform on Rhodes instrument arranged compositions of Krzysztof Penderecki, the most renowned composer in Poland who was born in Debica.

All Festival concerts will be accompanied by a unique visual setting. The multimedia space will be arranged by outstanding artists from Temporary Space Design who executed projects at such renowned events as e.g. Sacrum Profanum, European Congress of Culture, Barbican Centre in London or Lincoln Centre in New York. Their original audiovisual projects could be admired by audience also during concerts of such music stars as Jamiroquai or Wyclef Jean.
