Tire Company Dębica S.A. extended its patronage over classes specializing in the electronic and electrical engineering profession at the E. Kwiatkowski No 2 School Complex in Dębica that will begin in the 2009/2010 school year. Under the agreement signed between the company and the school, students attending such classes will be entitled to enjoy holiday training under the leadership of T.C. Dębica S.A. personnel, and the most diligent ones can count on scholarships sponsored by the company.

“Each socially responsible company should support educational facilities in practical youth training. By extending its patronage over the classes specializing in the electronic and electrical engineering professions, Tire Company Dębica S.A. is creating for the students of the No. 2 School Complex a unique opportunity to develop their skills and interests” said Renata Szcześniak, HR Director of Tire Company Dębica S.A. during the ceremony to sign the agreement. “The most active students will be granted scholarships sponsored by the company. I hope that in the future they will find an attractive job in our company,” added Ms. Szcześniak.

In addition to the holiday training and scholarship program, Tire Company Dębica S.A. will purchase modern equipment for the laboratories at the No 2 School Complex necessary to carry out practical exams. “Without the support of T.C. Dębica S.A. our school would not have been able to equip the laboratories with such technically advanced equipment ” emphasizes Joanna Dymitrowska, the Headmistress of the No. 2 School Complex at Dębica. “It is important that the major company in the region is supporting us in our efforts to train future engineers. Hands-on experience gained by our students will surely enhance their opportunities in the labor market,” added Ms. Dymitrowska.

For years now T.C. Dębica SA has been constantly involved in supporting the social activities , especially in the city of Dębica and in the Subcarpathian region (including, but not limited to, the Special School Complex in Dębica, the “Hanka” Children’s Home, the Dębica-based Home Hospice, the “Rays of Hope” Childcare Center, the Association for the Aid of the Disabled Children with Cerebral Palsy – the “I CAN” Integrative Circle for Disabled Youth, the “Nazareth” Community Center, the Subcarpathian branch of the Polish Association for the Blind, or the Urban Social Welfare Center in Dębica) and the rescue services (fire brigade, police, medical emergency services).

Thanks to donations both in the form of financial means (in the last five years it reached almost PLN 4 million), and non-cash donations (tires) it is possible to aid – including but not limited to non-cash aid, attendance at meetings, workshops and trips organized by the associations, etc. – a growing number of people: the disabled, those living in hardship, people from environments threatened with social pathology, those requiring specialist medical or rehabilitation treatment etc. The support of Tire Company Dębica S.A. also includes educational programs.
